As an avid lucid dreamer I feel the need to point out that the method for inducing it as described above is only one of several ways, this one being “WILD”, or wake induced lucid dreaming. Because of the possibility of sleep paralysis and how overwhelming that is for almost everyone that gets that far, it’s not a method encouraged for beginners.
There are other, much “safer”, and by that i mean less scary or overwhelming methods, particularly ideal for getting used to the environment of being conscious whilst within one’s dream. With a bit of research, finding more stuff about it isn’t hard — not if you’re willing to sift through a bit of pseudo science and “spiritual” stuff that’s just rubbish and not scientific / useful at all… In any case it’s perfectly doable.
Anyways I just don’t like to read stories about people trying lucid dreaming then freaking out when they can’t move. It’s a pretty rad experience if done correctly, so it’d be a shame for anyone to miss out on it because of a bit of misinformation, not to bash the maker / rebloggers of this post, though “~”
